COVID 19

Those of you who have dined with us and enjoyed our award winning food will notice a few changes. These have been implemented to help ensure the safety of our customers and our staff. One thing that has not changed is our warm welcoming smiles. We have implemented the following steps and undertaken a full risk

assessment:

  • We have extended our dining spaces to include our events rooms, terraces and gardens to ensure all diners social distancing.
  • There is no drinking at the bar. Drinks are served at the table and orders will be taken by staff. Please be patient.
  • To enjoy drinks, food or both, a table reservation must be made in advance.
  • Guests must wait outside the main door to be allocated their table and should not enter the building until advised to.
  • Due to social distancing and reduced number of tables, we are having to rotate tables and on busy services (the weekend especially) we are allocating early and later tables 6pm and 8pm.
  • We have a one way system in operation that must be adhered to. This is clearly signed.
  • To maintain the social distancing guidelines, we will not be offering drinks at the bar, instead we will offer a full table service
  • Hand sanitising stations have been set up on all entry points to the building
  • Wedging doors open, where appropriate, to reduce touch points. This does not apply to fire doors
  • Frequent cleaning of objects and surfaces that are touched regularly including counters, tills, and making sure there are adequate disposal arrangements for cleaning products.
  • Reminding customers who are accompanied by children, that they are responsible for supervising them at all times and should follow social distancing guidelines.
  • We are allocating team members zones to reduce as much contact as possible
  • Minimising contact by not pre laying tables. We will provide cutlery and condiments only when food is served.
  • Provide only disposable condiments or cleaning non- disposable condiment containers after each use.
  • Encouraging contactless payments where possible and wiping down card machines after each use
  • Minimising contact between front of house workers and customers at points of service where appropriate.
  • Our toilets are open but we ask that only one person at a time use them.
  • It is very unlikely that you can catch coronavirus from food but we have put appropriate measures in the kitchen to reduce any risks during food preparation.
  • We have changed our menus – it is the same quality produce – local and home grown as much as possible but with less elements per dish to reduce risks during food preparation.
  • We will ventilate the indoor areas as much as possible to ensure a through flow of fresh air. In the garden room all sets of doors will be open (weather permitting)
  • We have removed reading materials, soft furnishings, charity boxes and our dog biscuit container (sorry Bacchus and other 4 legged friends) to reduce contact points.
